In 2005, while shopping
for stocking stuffers at midtown Manhattan crap-clearance store,
I came across this singing, jigging, flight-suit George W. Bush.
At $2.99, he was hard to pass up. Especially since the overall
situation was just so close to the time I purchased of my Colin
Powell doll (in 1992 or 93).
Dubya dances while
singing "God
Bless the USA" [AKA "I'm proud to be an American"]
by Lee Greenwood. Of course, he was made in China.
There was a John
Kery version, too, though I didn't really see the point in buying
that (few others did either apparently since ... uh ... there
were a LOT more left on the shelves). Besides the fact that he
lost the 2004 election, he was just dressed up in a business suit,
while Dubya's doll sports those "Mission Accomplished"
flight suit-duds.
