Field Research:
     Field Research is one of the most exciting assignments you will have as a CF Cultural Observer. 

     In the field you will survey the interaction between people and products, environments, media, and each other. Field observers analyze the codes and motifs of the milieus you study.  Basic equipment is a harness, and digital camera.

 
     Most field work takes place in retail, amusement, festival, and tourist environments (or any combination thereof ).
    Above: Veteran observer, "No. 6," demonstrates the "hang man stealth" observation stance.  It may look conspicuous to you, but generally, people in a consumer environment don't notice anything outside their own desire to consume.  Even if they do see you, people in this situation probably won't question anything.
